Abstract
The article describes and endorses factors influencing social identity in the sphere of higher education on an experimental basis.
The author distinguishes three essential cognitive motivational components; they are basic component, personal component and professional one.
The main factors include higher education; personal traits (focus on self-recipience, self-respect, inherent value, self-management, the inner world, the perception of social environment requirements); the significance of current or future professional activity. The paper characterizes each corresponding factor.
