Abstract
The features of the application of porous materials impregnated with chemical reagents to obtain highly active sorbents are considered. The processes of iodine sorption and desorption from an aqueous solution with the carbon material of Tekhnosorb grade are studied. It is shown that this chemisorbent is efficient in absorbing mercury from its aqueous solutions with high concentrations.
