Abstract
The author considers the processes of transformation in modern information society and their influence on the purposes and tasks of education. The author analyses the changes in the contents of education caused by informatization, explains the necessity of formation of the information culture, fundamentalization and humanization of education. So, the most important aspects of changes in the contents of modern education are identified.
