The article is devoted to analysis of clashes between state and legal entities from one hand, and spontaneous violence in Siberia cities and villages from the other hand that is studied on the basis of history of mass illegal tribunals. These tendencies of illegal tribunals not only had traditional roots and reasons but were caused by negative aspects in activity of the Soviet state and its legal system in the respective historical period. The analysis of the spontaneous violence against criminals is indicative in terms of studying the public psychology and morality, and the level of the legal culture of the population.

The USSR Academy of Sciences Development Projects in the Middle of 1950s.

The article is devoted to new interpretation of the USSR Academy of Sciences’ strategies oriented on its institutional development in the Eastern regions of Russia. The author elaborates that there was a major change in the paradigm of the Soviet scientific development in the middle of 1950s. The preceding strategy set up yet in 1930s and based on the model of modernization exclusively focused on military demands was substituted with a new one reasonably balanced between the military and civil components. This new strategy has become the key factor that determined innovative academic development in the Eastern part of Russia, including establishment of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
