Abstract
The authors analyze the impact of educational level, the size of the regional market and occupational level of Russian regions on wage level and rates. Significant positive relationship between the population density, educational level of the employed population and wage rates of the employed population is found out. The authors conclude that agglomeration effects caused by the concentration of population in cities as well as the population size in the regions and its wage rates have a positive impact on Russian population’s wage rates.
