Abstract
The essence of the moral personality’s ideal as the purposes of progress in P.I. Novgorodtsev’s sociological concept reveals in article. Analysis of a moral ideal’s concept; essence of justice’s modern sense crisis and ways of an exit from it; roles of values in society development; goals of public progress; relationship of the personality and society - allow to reveal specifics of the personality studying at neokantian school of the Russian sociology, comparing some these provisions to V. M. Hvostov’s views.
