Abstract
The article considers methodological approaches to investigation of career. The author’s notions of career in terms of content-related, structural, functional, morphological, institutional, substantial and system approaches are presented. Content of system approach to investigation of career is revealed. The essence and content of basic elements of the career system are highlighted: career goals, career space, career vector, resource base, career basis, norm, career dynamics. The author’s interpretation of elements of the career system is suggested.
