Abstract
In the article, on the basis of analysis of modern research of the formation of the expert competence, the author presents a model of formation of the military-professional competence of the cadets; the approaches to the creation of such model are described; its functions, its interconnected components (the target-related, content-related, technological, and the result-related ones) and the stages of the competence formation of the cadets of military higher education institutions are revealed.
