Abstract
The functional significance of linguistic culture as a decisive factor of the national education development is analyzed in the article. The linguistic culture phenomenon is considered in the context of historical development of the educational process in the Siberian Germans enclave in the 20-30s of the XX-th century. The author emphasizes the idea that the destruction of the linguistic culture as one of substantive bases of national identity is a violation of the officially proclaimed right to be educated in native language, and its reconstruction is one of the conditions for modern Russia to enter the global world.
