The aim is to explore the relationship between the categories of social security and liberty of person and to present an experience of social-philosophical analysis of the problem. The problem in the determination of any of its aspects reveals itself as an eternal and boundless one. Of course, many of the philosophical categories have such a feature. But while other categories, attributable to the concepts of eternal values, are more or less determined by every person within his/her consciousness and spirituality, the problem of relationship between social security and freedom of the person in the society always seems unattainable. Manifesting itself in various spheres of life, these categories always remain values for the person, determining his/her life in the society.
