Abstract
In the article,the conceptual and legal bases of resourceand energy saving are considered. A retrospective review of studying this subject in the philosophical and pedagogical literature is carried out. A thesaurus of the main concepts on the subject of resource saving is presented. There is considered the content of the education based on the principles of rational resource consumption and resource saving(on the example of various countries and, in particular, the Russian Federation).
