Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study a meaning-forming approach to the development of personality in the spiritual-moral sphere. The main topic of the article is organization of the meaning-forming context of education in the pre-school childhood. The author pays attention to the meaning-forming essence of the folk upbringing culture and considers as necessary the inclusion of the oral folklore reading by children into the educational system, which would foster their spiritual-moral development.
