The theme of the article is the phenomenon of modern extremism, which acts under the banner of radical Islam, considered through the problem of spiritual and moral countermeasures within the ethical and theological framework of Arabic Muslim culture. The main objective of the research is to reveal the worldview and ideological sources of aggressive jihadism and Islamic terrorism (which are insufficiently studied in Russian humanitarian science) on the example of legitimation of martyrdom operations in connection with the problem of realization of the mechanisms of spiritual-moral education capable to deter and suppress the ideological propaganda of violence and radicalization of Muslim religious consciousness in the conditions of a socio-political conflict.
