Abstract
In teaching foreign languages the successful development of professional competencies of the higher education students requires the maximal use of traditional educational methods as well as the potential of modern information-communication technologies making it possible to intensify the student professional training. The article is concerned with the place which should be occupied by the usage of modern information-communication technologies among the methods of teaching Japanese language for the students specializing in the regional studies.
