Abstract
In the article there is presented an analysis of the scientific literature on the features of the development of the person's identity and the meaning-of-life orientations at young age. There is emphasized the urgency of the problem of discovering the identity and searching for the meaning of life in the course of the students' getting higher vocational training. There are presented the results of empirical research of the search-for-the-meaning activity of the students of the humanities department
