The aim of the article is to analyze the potential of the scientific-educational environment of the university as a factor of forming the students' humanitarian culture. There is given a definition of the concept of person's humanitarian culture. The humanitarian socio-cultural environment is designated as a factor of the humanitarian culture formation together with the culture-creative activity and interpersonal communication. The author emphasizes the inseparability and mutual influence of all factors. The process of forming the university students' humanitarian culture is considered in close connection with humanitarization of higher education. Analyzing the features of the scientific-educational environment of the university, the author turns to the problem of hidden curricula and proposes the ways of their humanitarization.
