Abstract
The results of studying aerodynamic processes in a very long (up to 400 m) coal longwall are presented. A method for increasing the efficiency of coal longwall ventilation by installing an axial jet fan on a shearer is considered and the advantages of using this method are evaluated. As a result of computational experiments, the dependence of longwall aerodynamic resistance on the location of mechanized coal face system is found.
