Abstract

Propagation of a plane electromagnetic wave of the microwave range in a coal seam with hydraulic fracture is simulated. The coefficient of its reflection from the “coal-fracture with proppant” interface is calculated taking into account the variation of probing signal frequency and electromagnetic properties of the material filling the fracture.
