Abstract

Today modern higher education establishments, both Russian and foreign, choose the concept of entrepreneurial university as base development pathway. Implementation of the concept requires formation of positive image of higher educational institution. The author examines the notions of «image of higher educational institution», «entrepreneurial university» and reveals the notion of «image of entrepreneurial university». The paper presents a conceptual approach to formation of the image of entrepreneurial university, which accumulates its essential features, in particular, innovative approach to functioning of higher educational institution as profit oriented business, engaged in education and scientific research in the context of generation and spread of knowledge, with the activity of the university becoming more and more commercialized.
