Abstract
Polygon layers obtained on the basis of the DEM, may have specific characteristics, such as the emergence of geographically disparate polygons with the same identification number. The paper discusses the experience of spatial analysis such polygon layers, namely the experience of forest parcels adjacent to the parts of a hydrological network, using Arc Map 9.3.1. GIS software.
