Abstract

The article is devoted to the economic training of students in the system of secondary professional education. The author formulated a definition of «economic training» as a continuous process of formation and development of social-economic competences, skills and socially oriented professional values which allow the effective realization of pedagogical activity in the new economic conditions. There are considered the requirements for the young specialist in the conditions of market competition (including educational services), the content of Federal state educational standards of the secondary vocational education as it concerns the economic training, and the special features of the competence approach to teaching the students.
