Abstract
The article analyzes data from the “Bulletin” prepared in 1739 by the Mangazeya uyezd administrative office (chancery) and based on the 1739 Questionnaire of Academician G.F. Mьller. The study is focused on the issues of number, social structure, displacement of population (both service men and tax-paying population), number and ethnical structure of indigenous population, as well as specifics of the local authorities’ yasak policy.
