Abstract
The article considers some aspects of the humanitarian culture formation, when foreign languages are taught along with other subjects at the universities. The author views the potential of language as a system and the conditions under which the foreign language studies would provide opportunities for enculturation and acculturation of the future specialists in the sphere of science and technology.
