Abstract
The author considers the system of education, which presently exists in Russia, using the system-ecological and optimological approaches. Optimology, which is based on philosophy and science, makes it possible, first, to give an expert evaluation of the state of certain educational structures and systems; second, to reveal and plan some particular ways of administering these systems with the aim of their optimization and improvement of their activity. A plan of examination of the educational system, based on these approaches, is given in the article.
