"Top-Down" Biomanipulations in a Small Siberian Reservoir

Abstract
In a small water body where daphniae had been absent for two years, a "top-down" manipulation was carried out by means of introducing pike and removing the main planktophage - crucian. After the bio manipulation, water blooming by the cyanobacterium Microcystis in late summer ceased.
