V.V. Voevodsky Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia
Keywords: atmospheric organic aerosol, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, aromatic aldehydes, aerosol formation

Abstract >>
The effect of restrictions caused by COVID-19 pandemic in Novosibirsk in spring 2020 on the composition of trace atmospheric gases and organic aerosol in the air of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok is investigated. The concentrations of aldehydes (formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, benzaldehyde, acrolein, and substituted aromatic aldehydes), the corresponding carboxylic acids, and peroxy compounds were studied before and after adoption of restrictions, prior to the start of vegetation period, that is, with the minimal emission of biogenic compounds into the atmosphere. Differences in diurnal variations and the composition of hydroperoxides are revealed at the background of weakening of anthropogenic sources. The role of hydroperoxides in gas-to-particle conversion is shown. In parallel, the concentrations of nanometer-sized aerosol particles were measured, and differences in their chemical composition are analyzed. To explain the observed changes in the composition of organic aerosol, numerical simulation of the stages leading to the formation of condensable products was carried out. A sharp decrease in the strength of anthropogenic sources allowed us to reveal and characterize the contribution from biogenic sources into the formation of organic atmospheric aerosol and to describe this process.

Keywords: zircon mineral, precipitated aerosol, tropospheric conditions, adsorbed layer, photodesorption, photoadsorption, quantum yield

Abstract >>
The adsorption and photosorption properties of aerosol particles from zircon (ZrSiO4) have been studied under conditions similar to tropospheric. For the aerosol, the physicochemical characteristics were determined by diffuse reflection spectroscopy. The analysis of the composition of the adsorbed layer formed in the troposphere is carried out. In the dark, mainly carbon dioxide is desorbed from the surface of zircon microparticles, as when illuminating the surface of aerosol particles. The kinetic dependences of СО2 desorption and О2 adsorption in the dark and under illumination are studied. The quantum yields and spectral dependences of the quantum yields of photodesorption and photoadsorption are determined. The spectral dependences of the effective quantum yield confirm the photochemical activity of the deposited aerosol from zircon under solar irradiation (l > 300 nm).

Abstract >>
Results of experimental studies of the common factors of evaporation of a single drop and a cluster of liquid drops are presented. New method for determining the evaporation rate of a single drop at radiant flux heating of a given intensity is suggested. The effect of radiant and convective flux heating on the evaporation dynamics of a single motionless drop is analyzed. The effect of absorption coefficient of the liquid on the evaporation rate of the single drop at radiant heating is found. A new method and experimental setup are developed for studying the evaporation dynamics of a cluster of monodisperse liquid drops during their gravitational settling in a high-temperature gaseous medium. Specific features of the evaporation of clusters moving in a high-temperature gaseous medium are studied. It is shown that the evaporation rate of a cluster depends on number and initial concentration of drops in it.

The friction velocity (dynamic velocity) u * enters into nearly all computational schemes used for forecasting the state of the atmosphere. To find this velocity, it is necessary to know the mixed moments of turbulent components of the wind vector. However, the information about turbulence is lacking at the initial stage of forecast. That is why model equations are usually used for u *. These equations are based on the relation of the friction velocity to the horizontal wind velocity Vh . In this work, we considers the empirical relations u *( Vh ) for various conditions (different time of the day, seasons, types of stratification, observation sites, and measurement altitudes). Initial experimental data used to derive these relations were obtained by ultrasonic meteorological stations operating in the surface air layer at different observation sites.

Keywords: vibrationally excited gas, one-dimensional unsteady equations, admitted Lie algebra, self-similar solutions

Abstract >>
Complete group analysis of the system of one-dimensional unsteady equations of the dynamics of a vibrationally excited gas is performed in the case of cylindrical and spherical symmetry. It is shown that the admitted Lie algebra does not contain the scaling generator of independent variables that defines the well-known self-similar solutions of strong shock wave problems for the similar system of the gas dynamics equations of an ideal gas. A modification of the characteristic relaxation time is proposed, which makes it possible to extend the admitted Lie algebra of the system by the generator of simultaneous scaling of independent variables and introduce a class of self-similar solutions. Using the problem of a strong linear explosion as an example, it is shown that the solution of the modified system of equations is physically consistent and fairly accurately describes the well-known effect of the divergence of static and vibrational temperatures behind the wave front.

STRUCTURE OF THE CORPORATE GROWTH PARADIGMS

M.V. Kudina, S.S. Kuzmin
Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russian Federation
Keywords: corporate growth, mechanistic and organic organizations, paradigms, systems approach, alliances

Abstract >>
The paper justifies and describes the paradigms that organize hypotheses, theories and models of organizational growth into groups and determines the fundamental principles, avenues and methodology of organizational growth studies. The methodological framework includes Kuhn’s concept of paradigm with Lakatos’s Methodology of Scientific Research Programmes that allows identifying the methodological core of growth paradigms. Theoretical generalizations underlying the research are presented as organizational growth concepts and combined into three paradigms on the basis of the theoretical and methodological principles of each paradigms and make up the core of each of them. Through this, the author justifies the causal paradigm that views an organization as a deterministic and mechanistic system focused on establishing development regularities that describe one-to-one causal relationships between the elements and subsystems of a company, and emphasizes two paradigms founded on the ideas about an organization as an organic system capable of developing itself and increasing its complexity. The first of the two paradigms is the growth outcome paradigm, the theories and models of which deal with organizational growth as a natural process, similar to growth and evolution of biological organisms (ontogenesis). At that, the primary research objective within this paradigm is to identify innovations typical of each new stage of a company’s life cycle and to create favorable conditions for their introduction. The other paradigm is the process paradigm that asks how growth affects organizational structure and internal processes.

THE MYTHOLOGY OF THE "KEYNESIAN CRISIS" OR WHERE IS KEYNES CALLING RUSSIA?

V.Z. Balikoev
Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation
Keywords: reinterpretation of the classics, "the crisis of Keynesianism", state regulation of the economy, state capitalism, the principle of historicism

Abstract >>
The article analyzes and criticizes a vicious practice of the economists who attribute the ideas to the eminent economists who didn’t elaborate those ideas. The practice existed in the 19th and 20th centuries. It does exist today. It has done a huge damage to the development of economic theory and certain and specific economic sciences. Especially in the last century Keynesianism was at the receiving end since it clearly defined the watershed between the obsolete but die-hard «laissez-faire» economic theory - «invisible hand of the market», free competition and government management of the economy. In this regard the economic theory constantly faces the question of certain «Keynesianism crisis», allegedly indicative of obsolescence of Keynesianism as economic theory. The article on the contrary proves that «Keynesianism crisis» is far-fetched and of ideological nature. Keynesianism itself is relevant today, more than ever, especially in the conditions of Russia, where, according to invincible belief of the author, state-directed market economy named state capitalism is being formed slowly and surely.

Keywords: active labor policy, activity, self-employment, unoccupied population, unemployment

Abstract >>
The article analyzes the results of five studies carried out in the Novosibirsk region for the purpose of research of the possibilities of the switch to self-employment of unoccupied population that apply to employment service regarding provision of employment. The paper studies the dynamics of the main social indicators favoring the choice of self-employment and varying under the influence of this choice: hope and trust in the state regarding provision of employment status, periodicity in loss of work, recession of income level and capability of providing oneself and family; influence of the reference groups on the choice of self-employment (their success); assessment of labor as social value; social feeling of unoccupied people and family support. Several trends were revealed: faith in the state as the guarantor of full employment provision weakened significantly; civil activity regarding securing self-sufficiency increased; the share of the people who lost work for the first time is reducing and the number of unemployed who lost work two or more times is increasing; the number of the people who have to save on the most needed and who are not in difficulties for money is decreasing; the number of the people who feel pity for unemployed people regarding their unemployment is decreasing and the number of indifferent people is increasing; family support grows. A conclusion was drawn regarding the possibility of employment of unemployed people via the development of self-employment, necessity of provision of assistance and support to them on the part of the state; it will allow people to overcome a welfare mentality and discover their own business development strategy.

Keywords: Hedysarum grandiflorum, ontogenetic spectrum, coenopopulation, vitality, Middle Don, Volgograd region

Abstract >>
The paper presents data from a population-based study of a rare plant species Hedysarum grandiflorum Pall. in the Volgograd region on the basis of the study of 2012-2017 on the territory of the Cretaceous outcrops of the Middle Don. The habitat of the species was characterized, ontogenesis, age composition of coenopopulations, and abundance are determined. It has been established that different communities of coenopopulations of a given species are characterized by similar indices of abundance, density, and level of generativeness. Different levels of vitality of individuals in these coenopopulations are due to interspecific competition and the degree of anthropogenic load. Due to the peculiarities of the ontomorphogenesis and life strategy of H. grandiflorum, these factors lead to a decrease in the bank of seeds and seedlings. A low level of self-maintenance of cenopopulations and the death of individuals due to mechanical damage lead to the loss of a rare species from steppe phytocenoses.

FLOWERING BIOLOGY OF CHAEROPHYLLUM AROMATICUM (APIACEAE) IN MOSCOW REGION

V.N. Godin, T.V. Arkhipova
Moscow Pedagogical State University, 6, Kibalchicha str., bldg. 3, Moscow, 129164, Russia
Keywords: Chaerophyllum aromaticum, Apiaceae, flowering biology, umbel

Abstract >>
We studied the flowering biology of perfect and staminate flowers, the sequence of flowers blooming in umbellets and umbels in Chaerophyllum aromaticum L., a biennial or perennial taproot polycarpous herb. Our observations used generally accepted methods for studying flowering biology in the Moscow region in 2017-2019. The flowering sequence of umbels in C. aromaticum synflorescence corresponds to the “Chaerophyllum prescottii” blooming model described in the literature. According to this model, the stigma phase of flowers on shoots of the same order coincides with the staminate phase of flowers on shoots of the next order. So, the geitonogamy does not exclude between flowers of umbels on shoots of different orders. The perfect flowers are strongly protandrous, their anthers mature and are exposed much earlier than their stigmas. So, in perfect flowers, the possibility of transferring their own pollen to the stigmas (and therefore also autogamy) is completely excluded. In perfect flowers, the stigma phase is longer than the staminate one: the first lasts 2-3 days, while the second lasts only 1 day. The lifespan of perfect flowers - from opening the anthers of the stamens to the end of the stigma phase - is 5-7 days, and 1 day for staminate flowers. The lifespan of C. aromaticum flowers directly depends on their sexual form and location in synflorescence. The lifespan of perfect flowers decreases in the direction from the peripheral umbellets to the inner ones within the umbels, with an increase in the branching order of the shoot. Each umbellet and umbel goes through three phases consecutively: staminate, simultaneous functioning of male and female generative structures, and stigma. Thus, these phases are not clearly demarcated in time, and it does not completely exclude geitonogamous pollination within umbellets and umbels on shoots of the same order. The perfect and staminate flowers of C. aromaticum are characterized by a morning opening rhythm with a maximum at 9 am.

Keywords: Trapa natans, water caltrop, distribution, Altai krai, new locations

Abstract >>
Trapa natans L. s.l. is a relict species characterized by a cosmopolitan disjunctive range. The number of its populations is reducing throughout the range, and therefore it is included in many regional Red Books of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. At the same time, there are fragments of the range where the species is invasive. The first reliable data on the distribution of the species in the territory of Altai accounted for the first third of the XIX century. Until the beginning of the XX century, only six water caltrop localities were known in the region, however, now 32 sites have already been found. In order to reconstruct the picture of the water caltrop distribution in the Altai Territory, herbarium collections and literary sources, photo materials and own fees were used. We compiled a map of the T. natans distribution in Altai krai, which reflects the historical data as well as the present new sites for the species discovered by the authors.

Keywords: new locations, Nothern Transbaikalia, vascular plants, floristic findings

Abstract >>
As a result of long-term expeditionary studies of the poorly studied flora of the Baunt Basin (Northern Transbaikalia) 27 locations of 15 species of rare and located on the border of the range of plants were identified. New habitats of plants of the Red Book of Buryatia were found (three habitats of Allium altaicum and Caragana jubata, two Cypripedium macranthos and one Gastrolychnis popovii). Finding new populations of species listed in the Red Book is necessary for the effective protection measures. Thanks to the findings of species located at the border of their distribution (on the north Adenonema cherleriae, Hemerocallis minor, Ligularia fischeri, Melica turczaninowiana, Rheum rhabarbarum, Saussurea baicalensis, Veronica linarifolia on the north-west - Artemisia freyniana; on the east - Spirea alpina, on the south-east - Dryas sumneviczii, on the south - Gypsophylla sambukii) the understanding of the range structure of these species has been expanded. 6 species (Anemonastrum crinitum, Artemisia freyniana, Artemisia macilenta, Cuscuta europaea, Saussurea baicalensis, Viola variegata) were recorded for the first time in the surveyed area. It should be noted that most of the found species tend to specific habitats in the study area - these are outcrops of limestone rocks, steep rocky slopes of southern exposures, basalt stony placers, which, against the background of the dominance of cryophytic Daurian larch forests, gives specific features to this flora.
