«Añademkniga» and its Successors: Problems of Scientific Literature Promotion on the Siberian Book Market

Abstract
The article deals with the reasons and circumstances for which the oldest bookselling company Academkniga specialized in scientific literature ceased to exist in several Siberian cities. The author describes how the niche of scientific book distribution in Novosibirsk was replaced by other booksellers: the literary shop «Capital» and the «Aristotle» group of companies. Furthermore, the paper analyzes experience of saving the store «Añademkniga» in Tomsk where the book company was transformed into a separate division of the municipal institution «Museum of Tomsk».
