Globalization of Science and the Russian Research Community (Case Study of the Novosibirsk Science Center).

Abstract
The article offers an analysis of the specific nature of the globalization processes in international science as they relate to the Russian research community. Based on the materials of sociological monitoring of the Novosibirsk science center of 1996-2004 comparative analysis was made which reveals the global patterns of the development of science and preparedness of Russian scientists for participation in international scientific collaboration. It is established that the momentum of integration of the Russian research community into global science will increase.
