Abstract
The scheme is presented describing the complex of principal physicochemical processes under intensive mechanical treatment of inorganic oxides as dynamic equilibrium between particle powdering and coalescence, and its graphic illustration is given. A large body of experimental results on superfine grinding of α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> and ZrO<sub>2</sub>
