Synthesis of polyfluorinated tetraoxacalixarenes based on octafluorotoluene

Abstract
Developing the approach of methods for the synthesis of fluorinated tetraoxacalixarenes, the interaction of octafluorotoluene with resorcinol and ethyl-3,5-dihydroxybenzoate was studied. The possibility of synthesising tetraoxacalixarenes with a different (syn-, anti-) arrangement of the trifluoromethyl group on the outer rim of the macrocycle is shown.
