Abstract
This study investigates allochthonous chloroform rock extracts (allochthonous bitumoids) of Carboniferous-Lower Permian deposits and crude oils from the Anabara-Khatanga oil and gas region. The main geochemical parameters in the Lower Permian bitumoids show a clear correlation with marine organic matter of the Lower Kozhevnikov and Tustakh formations. The distribution of biomarkers in crude oils and allochthonous bitumoids located within the Nordvik and South Tigyan fields suggests their genetic relation. The specific features of the molecular composition of the studied samples indicate the organic matter accumulation in a sedimentary basin with high water mineralization, which suggests conditions for the formation of carbonate-evaporite deposits typical of the Devonian. However, due to the very limited information on the organic matter geochemistry from Devonian source rocks, the issue of genetic correlations «oil/ allochthonous bitumoids - source rock organic matter» remains open.
