Abstract
In this paper, we consider the influence of socio-economic indicators on the life expectancy in the regions of the Russian Federation, identify which of them are statistically significant, predict the life expectancy and model the life expectancy in the «ideal» region of the Russian Federation. The model of life expectancy was built using multiple regression analysis by eliminating insignificant factors. The effectiveness of the model was evaluated using the Akaike information criterion.
