Abstract
The article examines the current problems of rural areas of the Russian-Belarusian border area. It draws attention to the features of transformation of the Russian and Belarusian countryside in the post-Soviet period. The article evaluates the possibility of further reforming and improving dynamics of rural areas.The general purpose of Russian and Belarusian rural areas transformations is the transition to sustainable development.
