Abstract
The author analyzes and compares the content of professional competence of Bachelors and Masters of the “Linguistics” profile of training in the conditions of reforming the Russian system of higher education and organizing professional training in accordance with the requirements of the modern state educational standards. The article defines the terms of «professional competence of the Bachelor», «professional competence of the Master»; it reveals the similarities and differences of their characteristics for Bachelors and Masters of linguistics on the basis of comparison of the objects and kinds of professional activity, capacities and other components.
