Abstract
In the article there are considered some general results of the XXIII World Congress of Philosophy, as well as the work of the «Philosophy of education» section. There is also presented the author’s understanding of the modern native philosophy of education and the main aim of education and upbringing and upbringing. During the recent two decades the philosophy of education has made a substantial progress, which was fostered by the new historical epoch with acute social contradictions. A great aim of the humanity is the formation of the new, all-round and free person. To achieve that, it is necessary to create a qualitatively new society having a system of universal education and upbringing.
