Abstract
The authors report experimental research and in situ study of oxidation and ignition factors in opencast mining of fire-hazardous ore. The article makes recommendations on spontaneously flammable ore extraction and storage as well as prevention of endogenous fires and fire protection in sulfide ore stockpiles.
