Abstract
Overcoming the educational crisis requires stepping outside the educational institution itself, thus providing the ground for reflection over it, analysis and consideration of its problems and horizons in a broad sociocultural context. The paper analyzes methodological functions of the philosophy of education in the conditions of globalization.
