In the article the institute of education is considered as an institute of human being. The author proposes to come back to the basic goals of education, understanding it as a space where the educational practices should be built, the practices of transfiguration of human being. The author claims that modern education has totally “forgot” human being. The notion of “autopoiesis” is introduced in the article as the basic method and principle of the educational practice, the practices of transfiguration of human being. This principle is contrasted with the principles of mimesis and ecstasy.
