Abstract
The author analyzes the connection between philosophy of education and spiritual-moral upbringing of the youth during the epoch of scientific-technical progress (STP). In the article there is investigated the philosophical problem of the STP influence on the spiritual-moral formation of the person as the intellectual, spiritually rich and educated specialist, on the nature of the person and his/her activity in the information society of XXI century. It is substantiated that only the union between STP and a new quality of education and spiritual-moral upbringing of young generation, their mentality and consciousness, is capable to overcome the spiritual crisis of the modern civilization, because spirituality is the supreme value of the meaning of life of the mankind.
