Abstract
The anthropological discourse of «taking care of itself» of the Western pedagogy are made more concrete through the concepts of «mentor», «city», «body» and «soul». These concepts reflect the changes in the pedagogical reality in its transition from the premodern to the modern and the postmodern periods.
