Abstract
The article shows that the optimization of the process of the natural science education of the humanities students determines the necessity of the development and the realization of the educational conditions of interaction between the humanitarian and the natural science knowledge systems. The author considers the convergent approach as a basic concept of the natural science education, which conditions the interaction between the natural science and the humanitarian knowledge systems in forming an integral scientific picture of the world. The basic points of the concept of the natural science education of the humanities students of pedagogical higher institutions within the framework of the convergent approach are revealed in the article.
