Abstract
In the article there is analyzed the following issue: in the modern conditions of the society and education development the process of understanding of upbringing as a philosophical and a socio-philosophical phenomenon is important. What values, ideals, purposes will be realized by modern teacher in the professional work depends on this. Such understanding appears from within, in the course of such analytical and reflective actions as search, comprehension, development of the concepts about the sphere of one's actions and the relations to it. In the article there is considered in detail the philosophical-anthropological and existential approaches to education; interrelation and continuity of the ideas taken as a principle of the upbringing activity by virtue of mastering the experience of foreign and domestic pedagogy.
