Abstract
The formation of the morally developed person is based upon the empathic abilities of the person. The research of the special features of the empathy development for teenagers and young persons allows to distinguish the moments which are the key ones in the development of the person building harmonious relations with the world around. As the characteristics which help to estimate the role of upbringing and social interaction, there are considered the «actual abilities» (a concept introduced by N. Pezeshkian).
The actual abilities, interconnected with such deeply psychological categories as the feeling of self-value, provide us with the additional differential-diagnostic hints and open new possibilities of upbringing, self-help and self-control.
