Abstract
On the basis of the civilizational approach, the author studies the logic of the educational reforms proposed by the contemporary Russian government. Demonstrating the relationship between the society and the school, the author stresses that the aforementioned reform activity is directed towards dismantling the traditional complex of social ties, which are very important for reproduction of the Russian society.
