Sojak growing in different ecogeographical zones of the Mountainous Altai and under introduction conditions has been made. It is established that the plants of these species with respect to the main indicators of nutritious compounds are not inferior to, and with respect to some of them, e. g. raw fat content, and at some times with respect to protein, are above, many fodder leguminous plants and cereals.
