Abstract
The growth of tariffs and prices in the Russian Federation is largely determined by the growth of electricity prices. Need to know why electricity is becoming more expensive. The article presents the analysis of the system of statistical methods used in the study of changes in the structure and elements of the cost of electricity production. Statistical tools are being discussed to identify and measure the factors behind the rise in electricity prices, and to conduct a detailed causal analysis. Special emphasis is placed on statistical technologies used in the study of changes in individual elements and the cost structure as a whole. The main goal of such a forecast is to develop a strategy for the behavior of the economic entity and formulate of its activity plan.
