Abstract
The article shows the negative trends in Russia’s industrial development in comparison with other countries. The potential market assessment is presented for oil and gas mining equipment, road construction machinery and equipment required for the active development of Siberia and the Far East. The idea of forming a «Siberian industrial zone» on the basis of the Siberian and Far Eastern cities located near the Trans-Siberian Railway is proposed. The principles of industrial policy that ensures the development of the industrial sector in Russia, Siberia and the Far East are formulated.
