Abstract
The problem of interrelation of traditions and modernity in preservation of national cultures in the conditions of globalization of the XXI century is investigated. It is substantiated that preservation and development of the wealth of cultural diversity of the society is possible only by means of special social programs. The culture-creative schools can serve as the main mechanism of continuous transfer of culture to new generations, children and youth. The methodological principles of activity of such school are substantiated, and the practical experience of organization of culture-creative schools in the Altai region is presented.
