Abstract

As an example of practical application of femtosecond systems in problems of remote sensing is a comparison of the emission spectra of green plant leaf irradiated by femtosecond (fs) and nanosecond (ns) lasers. The prospect of remote lidar studies of natural objects, using femtosecond laser systems, aimed at determination of their microelemental and molecular composition is shown.
