Abstract
Main approaches to evaluation of quality of life, interrelation between “level of life” and “quality of life” categories are considered. Main disadvantages of existing approaches are defined. The definition of quality of life as the characteristics of living conditions of population is given. The method of evaluation of quality by risk criterion influencing living conditions of people is offered. It is noted that level of safety (protection) is the fundamental parameter of quality of life in the situation of increase of instability and uncertainty in natural, social and technical systems.
